CENTRAL WISCONSIN – Celebrating its 20th anniversary in the current location on the corner of County Hwy W and the Riverview Expressway (Hwy 54), Central Wisconsin BMX (CWBMX) will host one of the 30 BMX National races in North America during 2025.
The three-day event will take place Aug. 1-3, 2025 and be the only BMX National in Wisconsin.
The Badger State hosted the National event in Janesville in 1985, and in 2010 when Central Wisconsin BMX hosted the Badger State Nationals in Wisconsin Rapids.
Since 2010, CWBMX – along with the support of the Wisconsin Rapids Area Convention & Visitors Bureau, Sports Commission and the City of Wisconsin Rapids – has been awarded the honor of hosting the Badger State Nationals in 2012, 2014, 2019 and 2022.
CWBMX President Chris Severin said this is a multi-generational event that showcases this area while bringing awareness to the sport.
In 2022, more than 8,000 visitors from 34 states attended the Badger State Nationals – a reported economic impact to the area of more than $1 million.
This year, Severin said CWBMX made a significant investment in new race management technology to improve accuracy – the “Sqorz” system also integrates with smart phones providing riders real time results.
