Rotary Club of Stevens Point awards scholarships

STEVENS POINT – The Rotary Club of Stevens Point recently awarded four $1,000 scholarships to the following area students who have demonstrated community leadership and academic honors:

• Kailee Deaver: Stevens Point Area Senior High – plans to attend St. Norbert College in De Pere this fall. Her intended major is business administration with a concentration in human resource management. 
• Presley Firkus: Amherst High School – plans to attend Winona State University and is pursuing a nursing degree with a double minor in business
• Jennifer Omernik: Amherst High School – plans to attend the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and double major in English and radio/TV/film
• William Omernik: Almond Bancroft High School – plans to attend the University of Wisconsin-Madison to study visual arts

The Rotary Club of Stevens Point hosts a rose sale each fall with all proceeds going directly toward the local scholarship program.
