UnitedOne ranks No. 2 nationally in ‘Best Credit Unions to Work For’

NORTHEAST WISCONSIN – UnitedOne Credit Union has been ranked the second-best “Best Credit Union to Work For” nationwide by American Banker, marking its third consecutive year in the top 10.

The credit union improved from sixth place in 2024 and seventh in 2023.

With locations in Manitowoc and Sheboygan, CEO Kim Rooney said UnitedOne is the highest-ranked credit union from Wisconsin in this year’s rankings, which recognizes 68 credit unions across the U.S., ranging in size from as small as 29 employees to as large as 2,149 staff members.

The Nevada Credit Union that finished No. 1 in the 2025 rankings, Rooney said, has $1.5 billion in assets and 187 employees.

UnitedOne, she said, has 91 employees and $310 million in assets, making it first amongst credit unions with asset sizes between $200 million and $500 million.
