Bill Farrell

Bill Farrell is an engineer by training, an entrepreneur, an innovator, an artist by interest and serves as Emplify Health’s chief strategy and innovation officer.
He oversees a team of professionals committed to deeply understanding customers’ (patients, staff and business partners) habits, needs and desires for the best possible outcomes.
Farrell and his team have led system mergers & acquisitions work, including the unification of Bellin Health and Gundersen Health System; led organizational brand development (Emplify Health); innovation investment – a new start-up incubator and internal organization disruption (Edge); national leadership in healthcare sustainability (Envision); and policy advocacy efforts at the local, state and national levels.
Farrell has also served as chairman of the board for Quartz, uniting insurance payer and health system strategies to benefit patients and providers.
He also earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering at the University of Minnesota and a master’s degree in technology management at the University of St. Thomas.
