Eric Rygg is the fourth generation to run Huntsinger Farms and Silver Spring Foods – the world’s largest grower and processor of horseradish.
Though he originally dreamt of becoming a ski racer at the Winter Olympics, he pivoted to working on his family’s horseradish farm.
Rygg, who has worked in all parts of the family business, has been the president of Silver Spring Foods since 2018.
In 2020, he became a recipient of the Master Agriculturalist award – one of the longest-running career-achievement programs in American agriculture that honors farmers for their hard work, dedication, success in farming and exemplary leadership.
