STEVENS POINT – Seven months in, ENT & Allergy Associates has settled into its Stevens Point clinic (5509 Vern Holmes Drive) – a purpose-built space Dr. Jessica Weddle said was designed to anchor its long-term presence in the community.
“Our staff’s so amazing that as a provider/physician, when I showed up [to the new Stevens Point clinic], it was just like working in our building in Wausau, our headquarters,” she said.
From the building’s design to its stock of supplies, staffing and a location that’s been easy for patients to find, Weddle said “everything has really flowed very well” in the 10,700-square-foot facility – a project first covered by The Business News in its March 3, 2025 issue.
Before opening the new clinic, Weddle said ENT & Allergy Associates had operated a satellite clinic out of a rented space in Stevens Point for 20 years.
“We had a great experience, but found there was a bigger need we wanted to serve, and that is how we ended up deciding to build this building,” she said.
According to ENT & Allergy Associates’ website – entwausau.com – the Stevens Point location treats all manner of ailments regarding patients’ ears, noses and throats, as well as treating allergy and asthma issues.
Weddle said the clinic also sees patients on a walk-in basis – an option that had been piloted successfully in Wausau.
Between walk-in and scheduled appointments, she said the Stevens Point clinic has been utilized by a “really steady” volume of patients – much more than ENT & Allergy Associates was able to treat back when it only rented space in the city.
“[Back then], I think we had a provider one and a half days a week, and now we have two [providers] five days a week on the ENT side of things,” she said. “We’ve been able to be there a lot more with our audiologist and our allergists as well, so I think the flow has been very good.”
As word has spread, Weddle said the Stevens Point clinic has drawn patients from areas such as Waupaca, Adams-Friendship and Marshfield, as well as “more patients from the further south and west communities” than she recalls from the past.
For the clinic’s newer patients, she said she’s happy the clinic can fill regional needs for comprehensive and specialized care, while offering “more immediate access than we’ve been able to do in the past.”
And for the ENT & Allergy Associates’ long-time local patients, Weddle said “we’re grateful they continue to support us.”
“I have really enjoyed my 15 years in practice and getting to know patients and families, and it’s really the repeat customers who you get to know and develop relationships with that really make your day,” she said. “Every day, I am just grateful to have them as patients and often as friends.”
Rhinelander clinic coming
With the strong results and feedback in Stevens Point, Weddle said ENT & Allergy Associates has decided to further fortify its presence and care in North Central Wisconsin.
“We’ve broken ground on a building in Rhinelander, and we’re [on schedule] to open in the fall with that,” she said.

Similar to the previous Stevens Point location, ENT & Allergy Associates – per its website – leased clinic space in Rhinelander until 2024 before transitioning to a temporary space.
The new, 6,500-square-foot clinic is under construction at 1933 Navajo St., and David Edmondson – ENT & Allergy Associates practice president – said the team is “excited to expand to a permanent presence in Rhinelander.”
“Having served our Northwoods, rural and underserved communities for more than 55 years, ENT & Allergy Associates understands the importance of predictable, reliable care, with continuity you can count on,” he said.
The Rhinelander location is slated to open sometime this summer.
