STEVENS POINT – KPR Brokers raised more than $6,300 in October to support the Breast Care Center Endowment Fund at Aspirus Stevens Point Hospital.
Owner Mark Kitowski said funds were collected through KPR’s annual Apples for Awareness event – which featured a bake sale, giveaways and donations from community partners, including Feltz’s Dairy Store, Willow Day Spa and The Pearl Street Gym.
“Giving back to the community has always been important to me,” he said. “It’s incredible that something as simple as apples can make a real difference for breast cancer patients right here in Central Wisconsin.”
A major part of this year’s success, Kitowski said, came from its partnership with Feltz’s Dairy Store.
“Throughout October, Feltz’s contributed a donation for every bag of apples and caramel apples sold,” he said. “Their commitment helped extend the reach of our efforts and brought in even more awareness.”
Kitowski said he also credits the KPR team for their dedication.
“They made this happen through their dedication and hard work and made major contributions to both the community and this cause,” he said.
Additional funds were raised through KPR’s annual Apples for Awareness event, which featured a bake sale, giveaway and free apple distribution.
The event drew support from KPR friends, family, clients and community members who stopped by to contribute and show solidarity.
The fundraising effort was further strengthened by generous contributions from close KPR friends, including Willow Day Spa and members of The Pearl Street Gym.
Their involvement helped amplify the impact of the campaign and demonstrated the power of community collaboration.
Gregg Gutschow, major gifts officer with the Aspirus Health Foundation, said the donation will help enhance patient safety, experience and outcomes at the Breast Care Center.
“Aspirus Health Foundation extends its heartfelt gratitude to KPR Brokers and all those who participated in this year’s fundraising efforts,” he said.
