WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Mid-State Technical College hosted its 49th annual Farm Tour recently, bringing together more than 100 farmers, educators, students and industry professionals for a day focused on modern agriculture and collaboration.
The event – per the release – featured stops at Elusive Hill Dairy in Loyal and the Marshfield Agricultural Research Station, where participants explored advancements in dairy operations, crop production and soil health.
Organizers said the tour emphasized data-driven farming practices and the importance of partnerships across the agriculture industry.
Presentations from USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service specialists highlighted grazing systems, forage management and practical soil health strategies for working farms.
The annual event also included networking opportunities aimed at connecting education, research and real-world farming experience, reinforcing Mid-State’s role in agricultural workforce development.
Organizers said planning is already underway for next year’s 50th annual Farm Tour, scheduled for March 9, 2027.
