Per the release, the students competed in the Workplace Skills Assessment Program, which features more than 100 events focused on real-world business skills.
Mid-State BPA Advisor Sharon Behrens said high-performing students are eligible to advance to the national conference, scheduled for May 6-10 in Nashville, Tennessee.
Mid-State students earning top placements – per the release – included Annika Kildahl, Cyanne Kube-Smith, Ellyn Buckley, Michelle Lucek and Rhonda Martinson, with awards across categories such as interview skills, digital communication, marketing and business law.
“Watching our students step into these events with confidence and professionalism – and earn recognition for their work – is incredibly rewarding,” Behrens said.
The competition, she said, highlights the hands-on learning and career preparation students receive through Mid-State’s business programs.
Behrens also earned first place in the Wisconsin Merit Scholar competition, part of BPA’s Cares program recognizing leadership and service.
