WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Mid-State Technical College (Mid-State) is celebrating the grand opening of its Wayne H. Bushman Advanced Manufacturing, Engineering Technology and Apprenticeship (AMETA™) Center with open houses for prospective students, community members and education and business partners.
The open houses will be held from 1-7 p.m., Wednesday, July 24, and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, July 25 at the center, located at 5000 Coye Drive.
Attendees can tour the new facility, witness the latest advancements and meet with faculty to learn about the programs offered at the AMETA Center.
“Mid-State is proud of the AMETA Center, and we can’t wait to welcome prospective students and community members to see our newest location,” Ryan Kawski, dean of the School of Applied Technology, said.
Kawski said the AMETA Center is a training destination that will supply Wisconsin with skilled workers, address the workforce shortage and sustain and grow area businesses.
