WAUSAU – Northcentral Technical College (NTC) has been named as one of the top training colleges in North America by the Learning Resources Network (LERN), a continuing education and workforce development association.
Per the announcement, NTC is one of only 11 colleges in North America to receive this recognition.
Dr. Brad Gast – dean of workforce training and professional development at NTC – said the award honors the work of the college’s Workforce Training + Professional Development team, which works with employers to deliver customized training solutions, technical assistance and consulting that drive measurable business results.
LERN President William A. Draves said the award recognizes “innovation in the field of continuing education and serving communities.”
“These awards enhance the quality and involvement in lifelong learning, an absolutely critical component to individual and community quality of life and prosperity in this century,” he said.
Gast said his team is honored by the award, which marked the third time NTC has been named a top training college in the nation by LERN in the past six years.
“Each year, we have the privilege to serve more than 900 businesses and more than 10,000 professionals,” he said. “We are committed to delivering high-quality, responsive solutions that help organizations strengthen performance, adapt to change and remain competitive in a global economy.”
