SHEBOYGAN – Acuity has been named a 2026 Better Business Bureau (BBB) Torch Award for Ethics winner, recognizing the Sheboygan-based company for its commitment to integrity, transparency and ethical business practices.
Acuity President and CEO Melissa Winter said the award honors organizations that go beyond compliance standards to build trust through strong character, culture, customer focus and community engagement.
Winter said Acuity is honored to be recognized with the award.
“At Acuity, doing the right thing is the foundation of how we serve our customers, support our employees and engage with our communities,” she said. “This recognition reflects the dedication of our team to upholding those values every day.”
Julie Albrecht – executive director of the BBB of Wisconsin Foundation – said Acuity was selected by an independent panel of judges made up of business and community leaders.
Albrecht said companies were evaluated on character, culture, customers and community impact.
“The BBB Ethics Awards application process is both rigorous and meaningful,” she said. “These organizations exemplify what it means to lead with integrity and should be proud of their efforts.”
Winter said this marks the second time Acuity has received the honor – previously earning the award in 2022.
She said Acuity’s approach to ethics includes ongoing training, transparent communication and a focus on long-term relationships, while also supporting community organizations through volunteerism and philanthropy.
