GRAND CHUTE – The Fox Cities Convention & Visitors Bureau (FCCVB) is hosting a food drive to support local families facing food insecurity, through April 30.
Marketing Communications Director Cathy Trebatoski said the food drive will collect non-perishable items such as canned goods, pasta, rice and other staples, with donations to benefit the St. Joseph Food program, which supports nearly 3,000 families.
“The upcoming summer months can be particularly challenging for many families, and our collective effort can provide much-needed support,” she said.
As an incentive, Trebatoski said the FCCVB will have an NFL Draft-related photo opportunity – featuring a cardboard cutline of the “NFL Commissioner” for those who drop off a donation.
In addition, Trebatoski said each donation will be tallied based on the contributor’s favorite football team, with the results of the competition to be shared at the end of April.
Participants can drop off donations from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays at the FCCVB office, 213 S. Nicolet Road in Appleton.
