APPLETON – Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. has delivered the first Gulfstream G800 – the world’s longest-range business jet – to a customer following its certification earlier this year.
The aircraft was completed and outfitted at Gulfstream’s Appleton facility, which President Mark Burns said marks a milestone for both the program and the Appleton site.
“We look forward to customers around the world experiencing the aircraft’s remarkable capabilities and cabin comfort, and I congratulate Gulfstream’s Appleton team – and the more than 21,000 Gulfstream employees worldwide – for this significant accomplishment in delivering another quality product from our next-generation family of aircraft,” he said.
Burns said Gulfstream’s Appleton facility plays a critical role in the company’s operations, specializing in large-cabin completions and housing a custom-built paint hangar capable of handling up to 48 aircraft per year.
