NEENAH – Local authors Spencer and Katie Jones are teaming up for a dual book launch and signing event at Lyons Fine Books at 124 W. Wisconsin Ave., Suite 140, in downtown Neenah.
The event will take place from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, May 15.
Spencer and Katie said they are each releasing a new book that, while different in style and audience, share common themes: personal growth, resilience and the power of perspective.
Spencer said his debut fiction novel, “The Best View in the World,” is “a riveting, transformative story” following Simon, a man haunted by a lifelong dream of reaching the summit of a breathtaking mountain.
As Simon embarks on a real-life journey mirroring his dream, he faces challenges that test his courage, resilience and self-discovery.
Spencer said the book is “an inspiring call to action for readers looking to step beyond their fears and chase their own dreams.”
Katie – author of “Good Night Neenah” – said her latest picture book, “The Day the Sun Forgot to Shine,” is “a heartwarming tale of kindness, connection and the light we all carry within us.”
She said in the book, when young Lila wakes up to find the world in a perpetual twilight, she sets out on a magical journey to bring back the light.
Along the way, Lila meets a glowing firefly, a wise old oak tree and a talking cloud, “discovering that true light doesn’t just come from the sun – it shines from within us when we choose to spread joy and kindness.”
“We’re beyond excited to share these stories with the community,” Katie said. “This event is not just about books – it’s about the messages behind them: embracing courage, kindness and the power of personal transformation.”
The authors said the meet and greet/book signing event will be an opportunity for fans, families and book enthusiasts to connect with the authors, hear insights about their writing process and get signed copies of their books.
