FOND DU LAC – Lakeland University has expanded its partnership with Moraine Park Technical College (MPTC) by opening a new office at MPTC’s Fond du Lac campus.
Lakeland President Beth Borgen said this initiative builds on the colleges’ successful collaboration, including a pathway that allows nursing students to earn both an associate degree from MPTC and a bachelor’s degree from Lakeland in just four years.
Borgen said Lakeland’s presence at MPTC adds to its growing network of partnerships with Wisconsin technical colleges, aiming to provide students with expanded educational opportunities and hands-on learning experiences.
“We share a vision for a more educated region, and we are passionate about creating easier access for students to achieve their educational goals,” she said. “It makes sense for private and public institutions to work together for a common good – helping our students achieve their educational goals while aligning with regional workforce development needs.”
MPTC President Bonnie Baerwald said together, MPTC and Lakeland are creating stronger, more seamless pathways for students to continue their education.
“Lakeland’s location on our Fond du Lac campus is a thoughtful, intentional effort to remove barriers and bring opportunity closer to the students we serve,” she said.
