GREEN BAY – N.E.W. Community Clinic’s Behavioral Health Clinic (424 S. Monroe Ave.) is now open in Green Bay – providing mental health and substance use recovery services for underinsured and uninsured members of the community.

Kim Franzen, CEO of N.E.W. Community Clinic, said the new facility represents a new step forward for the health and wellness of our community.

“We’ve updated an existing office space, aim to hire six new staff members and are ready to serve about 2,500 client visits annually,” she said. “Our goal is simple: to provide evidence-based, comprehensive care for those in need in our community.”

The new clinic is led by Katie Patterson – N.E.W. Community Clinic’s director of behavioral health.

“Our approach is client-centered, and we aim to meet people where they are and share the tools they need to heal and improve their health and well-being,” she said.

To accomplish that, Patterson said the N.E.W. Community Clinic offers a full range of behavioral health services – including individual therapy, group counseling and soon medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for substance use disorders – in one location.

The clinic was made possible by a Behavioral Health Expansion Grant awarded by the Health Resources and Services Administration.
