FOND DU LAC – SSM Health St. Agnes Hospital has been recognized by Becker’s Hospital Review for reporting zero cases of catheter-associated urinary tract infections (CAUTI), placing it among 508 U.S. hospitals with that distinction.
According to Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services data, only 10 hospitals in Wisconsin recorded a CAUTI rate of zero during the reporting period.
The Healthcare Associated Infections-Hospital database, developed using CDC measures and the National Healthcare Safety Network – per cdc.gov – tracks infection rates in acute care hospitals nationwide.
“We are proud to be recognized among the top-performing hospitals in the country for infection prevention,” Megan Blonigen, an SSM Health infection preventionist, said. “Delivering zero CAUTIs is a testament to the dedication of our care teams and reflects our commitment to infection prevention protocols – because every patient deserves the safest experience possible.”
The data reviewed covers July 2024 through June 2025 and was last updated May 13.
