Rachel Kroeger

Rachel Kroeger joined The Business News as a staff writer in September 2024 and was promoted to digital editor in September 2025. A native of south-central Wisconsin, she grew up in a small town with her three siblings before heading to northeast Wisconsin to attend St. Norbert College. After earning her bachelor’s degree in political science and government, she discovered a passion for storytelling through the Washington Media Internship Program in Washington, D.C., where she served as a media intern and wrote for metropolitan crime reporting website D.C. Witness. She then returned to Wisconsin to work as a newscast producer for WBAY-TV before transitioning to business journalism. When she’s not working, Rachel enjoys spending time with her husband, Ben, and exploring their family's property in the Northwoods – especially during her favorite season, fall.
