MARSHFIELD – Mid-State Technical College’s 49th Annual Farm Tour will bring together farmers, students, agribusiness professionals and community members March 10 for hands-on demonstrations of modern agricultural practices.

Designed to showcase agriculture as it is practiced today, Alex Lendved – dean of the Marshfield Campus and School of Applied Technology – said the Farm Tour emphasizes data-driven insights, shared experience and collaboration among producers, educators and industry partners.

“For 49 years, the Farm Tour has brought people together to showcase innovation in agriculture and learn from one another across the industry,” he said. “It’s a practical, boots-on-the-ground event where producers, students and industry partners can see ideas in action and have real conversations about what works.”

Participants, Lendved said, will travel by bus to multiple tour stops, engaging directly with producers and subject-matter experts.

Each stop, he said, highlights practices that can be applied on working farms, with time built in for questions, discussion and peer learning.

Lendved said the tour also includes a field presentation at the Marshfield Agricultural Research Station, as well as a visit to Elusive Hill Dairy in Loyal – offering a look at modern dairy technology and facility design.
