WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Mid-State Technical College and Yavapai College have signed a transfer agreement creating one of Wisconsin’s first three-year bachelor’s degree pathways.
Per the announcement, the partnership establishes a streamlined associate-to-bachelor progression, allowing students who complete Mid-State’s University Transfer-Associate of Arts degree to transfer and finish a 92-credit Bachelor of Applied Science in Business at Yavapai with just 32 additional credits in one year.
Mid-State Technical College President Shelly Mondeik said the agreement is designed to reduce time to degree, ensure credits transfer seamlessly and provide a more affordable, clearly defined path for students pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
The agreement was formalized last month during a signing ceremony held ahead of Mid-State’s Transfer Fair, which brought together students, educators and community partners.
Leaders from both institutions said the collaboration aims to improve access and efficiency while helping students complete their degrees more quickly and with greater confidence.
“This partnership reflects our commitment to building clear, efficient pathways that help students reach their goals without unnecessary barriers…,” Mondeik said. “Establishing one of the first three-year bachelor’s pathways in Wisconsin demonstrates how we continue to innovate on behalf of the students and communities we serve.”
