TOMAHWAK – After a brief closure to upgrade its building, Rise Coffee Co. in Tomahawk has reopened – much, Co-owner/Operator Kayli Buffington said, to the delight of its loyal customers.
“It feels good to be reopened again after two weeks, especially since our customer base really missed us,” she said.
In addition to a new building, complete with upgraded drive-thru windows, improved temperature regulation and expanded space for her team, Buffington said they also repaved the driveway.
“The [employees] love [the new space] – they feel happy when they come in,” she said. “It’s their space to move around [in], [and] I feel like we’ve been a lot more efficient in this space.”
The Business News first reported on Rise Coffee Co. in its July 7th North Central Issue in which Buffington said she and her fellow co-owner and husband, Tim, hope to “navigate into [offering] some food options,” in addition to online ordering, with the additional space and opportunity afforded by the new building.
“[We’re] looking at – this winter into spring – starting to implement some of that,” she said. “We’re doing it in stages.”
For now, Buffington said customers can follow Rise Coffee’s Facebook page to keep up to date on future offerings and new locations as she and Tim discuss “potentially expanding” Rise Coffee Co. “into a different location” after experiencing the Tomahawk community’s support for their first location’s growth.
“There are so many parts that go into this, different contractors, plumbers, concrete [professionals] electricians, the person who built the building and moved it [and our] community members,” she said. “It definitely wouldn’t have gone so smoothly without them, that’s for sure.”
