STEVENS POINT – Aspirus Stevens Point Hospital’s breast care center recently achieved redesignation as a Certified Quality Breast Center by the National Consortium of Breast Centers (NQMBC) – the only in Wisconsin to do so.

The designation is effective for one year and, according to NQMBC, recognizes centers that achieve quality performance and make a vigorous voluntary effort to provide the best patient care possible.

At Aspirus Stevens Point Hospital’s breast care center, nurse practitioners and nurse navigators work with the hospital’s imaging, surgery and oncology teams to provide patient-centered care for all breast concerns, including breast lumps, pain, infections and skin concerns.

Services provided include high-risk/family history consultations, screening and diagnostic imaging, stereotactic and ultrasound-guided biopsies and comprehensive breast cancer care with a multidisciplinary approach.
