GREEN BAY – Altrusa House, a healthcare hospitality house serving patient families who travel to Green Bay for specialized medical care, has rebranded and is now known as the Altrusa Hospitality House.

Located at 1116 E. Mason St., the facility opened in October 2021 as a project of the Altrusa International Foundation Inc. of Green Bay.

Mary Hanzel, co-president of the foundation, said the Altrusa House became the largest service project ever undertaken by a club in the international service organization’s history.

“As a part of the healthcare ecosystem in Green Bay, this move positions Altrusa Hospitality House to evolve and grow as the need for our services continues to expand,” Annie Bongiorno, executive director of Altrusa Hospitality House, said. “Our compassionate staff and volunteers create a restorative community environment that supports patients and families, reduces the financial burden of lodging and makes specialized healthcare available to all.”

Bongiorno said the Altrusa Hospitality House will continue to collaborate with Bellin Health, HSHS St. Vincent Hospital and St. Mary’s Hospital Medical Center, as it has since 2001, said Bongiorno.

She said the Altrusa Hospitality House also unveiled a new heart-shaped logo, with colors that “are fresh, organic and soothing, evoking a feeling of peace and comfort.”
