PLYMOUTH – Carbliss has selected a handful of Wisconsin-based partners to help transform Plymouth’s former Kmart into its new headquarters.
As previously reported by The Business News in its July 13 issue, the beverage company announced plans in June to redevelop the roughly 90,000-square-foot property at 2615 Eastern Ave. into its new corporate home and public-facing destination.
Co-founder Adam Kroener said Carbliss has assembled the team that will bring the redevelopment to life, with Miron Construction selected as construction manager, Excel Engineering leading design and engineering and Nicolet Bank serving as the project’s financing partner.
“For us, it was important that the partners helping us build the next chapter of Carbliss understood both where we’re going and where we came from,” he said. “Miron, Excel and Nicolet understand the vision, they understand the importance of relationships and they’re the kind of people we want beside us.”
As construction manager, Miron Construction will oversee the transformation of the property left vacant since 2014 into Carbliss’ new headquarters – a project CEO Dan Voss said Neenah-based Miron is honored to be selected for.
“As another family-owned company, we see a strong alignment between our cultures and values,” he said. “We’re excited to build a headquarters that reflects Carbliss’s remarkable growth and success.”
David Vanden Avond of Excel Engineering said the firm is excited to help turn Carbliss’ vision for its new headquarters into reality.
“Carbliss has built an impressive company through innovation, vision and sustained growth, and we’re excited to help bring the next chapter of that story to life,” he said.
As Carbliss’ banking partner, Nicolet Bank will help finance the redevelopment, which Senior Vice President of Commercial Banking Robert Seal said presents an opportunity to create a community asset in the heart of Plymouth.
Seal said his initial conversations with Amanda and Adam Kroener centered on their vision and goal of creating a community asset in the heart of Plymouth.
“Our team was given an opportunity to create shared success through a project that will bring together the community in an exciting new space that will foster relationships and camaraderie,” he said.
Project details
As he previously shared with The Business News, Adam said the new destination headquarters has been designed around two priorities: creating an extraordinary workplace for team members and their families while establishing a destination that encourages people to spend more time in Plymouth.
Plans for the redevelopment include:
- A Carbliss Pour/Tap House
- Product sampling and innovation experiences
- Virtual Carbliss manufacturing plant tours
- A Carbliss merchandise store
- Outdoor patio seating
- Flexible gathering spaces for team members and visitors
- Shared services with local bars and restaurants to provide food and catering
Amanda said the goal has never been to “simply build a bigger office.”
“We wanted to create a place where our team can love coming to work while also creating something that adds value to Plymouth,” she said. “If visitors come for Carbliss and leave having supported local restaurants, shops and businesses, that’s a win for everyone.”
Adam said plans for the new headquarters are officially underway, with updates shared locally and across Carbliss’ and his and Amanda’s social media channels as the team works toward the next chapter of its home in Plymouth.
