GRAND CHUTE – The Fox Cities Convention & Visitors Bureau (FCCVB) awarded two Tourism Development Grants to help fund new exhibitions at the History Museum at the Castle and Building for Kids Children’s Museum.
“The Fox Cities’ collection of top-notch museums provides exceptional experiences to thousands of visitors each year,” Executive Director of the FCCVB Pam Seidl said. “We’re proud to support the development of exhibits that are unique to our region and highly anticipated by both residents and visitors.”
History Museum at the Castle received $100,000 for You Are Here, a new permanent exhibition that tells the history of the Fox Valley in Northeast Wisconsin.
The interactive exhibit demonstrates the importance of the Fox River to the local environment and industries.
The Building for Kids Children’s Museum received $134,000 for its newest exhibit, Food to Grow.
Food to Grow offers both children and adults an up-close look at the whole food system while allowing for the exploration of food choice, food equity and cultural significance of food.
Since its inception, the FCCVB has awarded nearly $12 million in grants through its Tourism Development Grant program.
The program helps support tourism development projects such as wayfinding signage, trail expansions, large-scale events and capital development projects.
