APPLETON – Renaissance by Rennes-Appleton (301 E. Florida St.), the first Residential Care Apartment Complex (RCAC) licensed in the State of Wisconsin, officially broke ground on a major renovation and expansion project.
Since opening in 1997, Rennes Group President Nikki Schingick said Renaissance by Rennes has been a pioneer in senior living, known for its commitment to quality, innovation and community.
Now, almost three decades later, Schingick said the facility is embarking on a new chapter.
“This groundbreaking is more than just a renovation – it’s a renewal of our promise to the seniors who have trusted us for nearly 30 years,” she said. “We’re bringing new life, innovation and new energy into a beloved place, ensuring it continues to be a warm, safe and inspiring home for generations to come.”
Highlights of the planned updates include:
- A walkout rooftop patio addition for outdoor enjoyment and gatherings
- A newly designed main entrance and reception area to enhance the welcome experience
- Dining room enhancements to foster comfort and community
- Interior remodels with fresh finishes, updated flooring and new furnishings in all common areas
- A newly designed pub space, offering a fun and social entertainment space
- Upgraded laundry rooms to improve functionality and resident support
- An expanded kitchen to better serve meals and support facility events
- Revised and improved office space to enhance employee comfort, productivity and collaboration
Construction is expected to continue through the middle of next year.
