New Packers community mural bringing fans together

GREEN BAY – The co-founder of the Packers Fence is bringing fans together to create a community mural on Lombardi Avenue for the second year in a row.

Zane Statz has been painting the Packers Fence since its inception in 2014, creating and painting yearly murals for fans each season. 

Statz is looking to the community for assistance in painting his new mural.

Statz, a local Green Bay artist, will paint all the outline shapes for the mural and will look for community volunteers to help fill in the paint-by-numbers style shapes from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 14. 

Last year’s project was painted by around 200 fans and community members in about two hours.
