OSHKOSH – After more than four decades on Koeller Street, Fletcher Chiropractic has settled into a new home on Oshkosh’s west side.
Co-owners Kim and Brandon Fletcher said the move marks the start of a new chapter for the long-running family practice.
After selling its Koeller Street office earlier this year, Kim said the team has officially settled into its new space at 1150 N. Westhaven Drive.
“The building was awesome,” she said. “It was massive and huge, and it fit our needs for the time we were there. But you know, it’s like every family business – you really want to make it your own, put your own stamp on it.”
Furthermore, Kim said the building – which housed the clinic started by Brandon’s dad, Mike, for more than 40 years – “felt like a relic of the past,” big, grand and built for a different era.
“And we didn’t need that much space to do that,” she said.
So, Kim said the decision was made to move – and once the building went up for sale, they had only three months to figure out their next move.
Recognizing that proximity was important to their patients, Kim said she and Brandon pinpointed their search grid for a tight two-mile radius from the Koeller Street location.
A former karate studio space on Westhaven Drive, she said, turned out to be the blank canvas they were looking for.
“It was one big open space, and our landlords are also our contractors,” she said. “They basically said, ‘It’s a blank slate, what do you want?’ So, Brandon and I basically drew out this design of the flow we wanted to make it feel airy, because we’re in [a space] half the size we were before.”
Kim said they wanted the new location to offer plentiful space and light, while still being able to handle the practice’s high-volume flow of patients.
“That’s how we came to have… a super-wide hallway that’s… seven feet wide, and that’s our adjusting corridor, where basically patients are flowing in and out of those rooms,” she said. “And it’s just super easy, [with] lots of room.”
Kim said the atmosphere of the clinic plays a key role in patient care – so the goal was to create a welcoming space that meets the needs of both patients and staff, now and as the practice continues to grow.
“When you have an opportunity to make it your own, to be more efficient, well, of course, we’re going to take that opportunity and do it – and [it’s] just a smart business decision, too,” she said.

Continuing a chiropractic legacy
Kim said she and Brandon purchased the practice from his father four years ago, opting to take on the challenges of entrepreneurship rather than work for someone else.
“Brandon and I kind of live by this mantra of ‘courage over comfort’…,” she said. “Anytime we feel like we’re getting too comfortable or we’re settling into a rut or we’re not challenging ourselves, we really feel like it’s our responsibility as human beings to have a full life experience.”
Kim said they were eager to see what they could accomplish running their own practice and how far they could push themselves.
“That creates a lot of opportunity for failure – and we do fail; we have countless times,” she said. “I could give you a whole notebook [of] times when we have tried something and it has not landed, and… we’ve had to circle back and do something else.”
But Kim said she doesn’t want to reach the end of her life with regrets – but rather take risks and be able to say, “It didn’t work out, but I’m glad I tried.”
As they continue the work of Fletcher Chiropractic and build upon the established practice, the Fletchers – alongside Doctors of Chiropractic Brittany Bartel and Courtney Kitzrow – said their focus remains on creating individualized care plans for patients of all ages.
To accomplish that, Kim said the team employs a range of adjustment techniques tailored to each patient’s unique health and wellness needs.
Focusing on the neurological side of health, Kim said the team meets patients where they are, addressing pain and discomfort along the way.
Together with patients, Kim said the Fletcher Chiropractic team set goals and create treatment plans that ease immediate symptoms, while also laying the groundwork for improved outcomes as care continues into maintenance.
“We really focus on function and movement,” she said. “So, when we have a painful joint or painful anything, really, it is just a signal that your body is trying to talk to you. We’ve got to figure out what that conversation is. So, if it’s a fixed joint, we address that fixation. We get good movement, we reinforce it with good movement at home, and that is how it’s actually retraining your brain to function at an optimal level.”
So, while chiropractic care addresses physical issues, Kim said it’s also about the connection between the body and the brain.
Embracing growth, change for the future
In addition to chiropractic care, Kim said the practice offers massage therapy, dry needling, practitioner-only supplements and a new infrared sauna.
“It is phenomenal,” she said. “I absolutely love it.”
Though they only settled into the new space about a month ago, Kim said the Fletcher Chiropractic team already has big plans for the future.

In the coming year, she said they will place a stronger emphasis on helping patients make lifestyle improvements alongside their chiropractic care.
“Sometimes lifestyle recommendations can get really messy with chronic illness… [the patient has] been to all these providers, and they’re not really sure where to start,” she said. “We are actually doing genetic testing and food-sensitivity testing, so we can be really specific and have objective findings for people who want to… dig into wellness [after their initial chiropractic treatment plan].
Trying these herself, Kim said, led to a major boost in her overall health.
“I’ve done both myself, and it’s like completely changed my health, from top to bottom,” she said. “It’s amazing.”
Looking ahead five to 10 years, Kim said she and Brandon hope to replicate the culture they’ve built with their Oshkosh team across new locations.
Furthermore, she said they aim to expand mentorship opportunities, guiding associate chiropractors and office staff – support that can sometimes be missing in the chiropractic field.
Kim said for her and Brandon, chiropractic is a relationship-driven practice, focused on connecting with patients.
That commitment, she said, extends to their staff, and the team is excited for what’s ahead.
“I feel like I hit the lottery with the people I have on staff,” she said. “They are incredible human beings. I don’t know how I got so lucky. We would not be able to have the environment we have without the people [who] run [the practices]. When we show up for each other – that’s where the magic is.”
Kim said the clinic’s second location, at 1650 S. Main St., remains open, giving patients more flexibility in where they receive chiropractic and wellness care.
