FOND DU LAC – SSM Health recently donated $40,000 to Marian University’s Working Families Grant, which provides financial assistance and support services to low-income, single parents earning their bachelor’s degree.

Aaron Sadoff, president of Marian University, said the gift will help more than single parents and their families.

“It will have a ripple effect benefitting Fond du Lac and the surrounding communities economically,” he said. “Our community thrives when we invest in each other.”

Since its founding in 2002, 285 students have utilized the Working Families Grant program, with 231 graduating – an 86% graduation rate, which exceeds the national graduation rate of all income levels (64%).
