Gateway Center renovation features urgent care location, pharmacy

MAUSTON – The Gateway Center at 406 Gateway Ave. in Mauston has transformed the former Shopko building into a 26,000-plus-square-foot healthcare facility.

The space already features Mile Bluff Medical Center’s new urgent care location, Mile Bluff Pharmacy and, per the announcement, will also offer dialysis services within the coming months.

According to milebluff.com, the urgent care location offers expanded access, modern facilities and treatment for illnesses and injuries that require immediate attention but are not life-threatening.

Mile Bluff representatives said the Gateway Center is the first phase of a $17 million development project. 

Phase two, they said, will focus on remodeling the emergency department at Mile Bluff’s main campus in Mauston, with construction set to begin later this year.
