EAU CLAIRE – Radix Laboratories – a veterinary pharmaceutical manufacturer – has been acquired by a new ownership group made up of Ryan Spanheimer, Tommy Zerse and Michael Boardman.
Founded by Prem Girdhari in the early 1980s, Zerse said Radix Laboratories has long been focused on providing life-changing products for the veterinary industry.
Under Girdhari’s leadership, Zerse said Eau Claire-based Radix earned a reputation for quality, innovation and regulatory integrity, serving veterinarians, distributors and private-label clients across the U.S. and Canada.
Together, with partners Spanheimer and Boardman, Zerse – a licensed veterinarian with a background in animal health products and services – said they plan to focus on expanding Radix’s product lines and driving growth in both domestic and international markets.
“We are excited to carry forward the legacy built by Prem and the dedicated team at Radix,” Zerse said. “Our goal is to invest in product development and operational capabilities while continuing to serve the veterinary community with integrity and innovation.”
The transaction was facilitated by Michael Schwantes, president & CEO of Creative Business Services/CBS-Global, which represented the seller throughout the process.
