FOND DU LAC – Marian University’s Nursing Program and United States Army Cadet Command have signed a Memorandum of Understanding that guarantees one qualified Army ROTC nursing cadet a place in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at the Fond du Lac campus each admission cycle, beginning in the fall.

Cheryl Seelig, associate dean and chief nursing administrator at Marian University, said the partnership, facilitated through the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh (UWO) Army ROTC, will ensure that fully eligible nursing cadets have a clear pathway to complete their nursing education while fulfilling their leadership training through the ROTC program.

Seelig said the initiative is designed to support the academic progression and professional development of ROTC nursing cadets, preparing them to serve as highly skilled military nurses.

“This partnership reinforces Marian University’s dedication to providing exceptional nursing education while supporting the mission of the U.S. Army,” she said.

Seelig said Marian University will work closely with the UWO Army ROTC to identify eligible cadets and ensure they meet all nursing program prerequisites.
