Chilton Elementary School renovations complete

CHILTON – Chilton Elementary School students started their school year in a newly expanded and remodeled building – the final project of the district’s $19.3 million referendum that passed in April 2022. 

Work on the elementary school began at the end of the 2023-24 school year and included: 

• The remodeling of a cafeteria into a new wing of classrooms for first through fourth grades
• A special education area and art and music spaces
• A large central skylight to bring daylight into the interior rooms

“Hoffman Planning, Design and Construction, Inc. has been an excellent partner since the planning process began in 2021,” Chilton Superintendent Susan Kaphingst said.
