GREEN BAY – Bona Fide Juicery’s newest location is now open – serving the healthy food needs of Green Bay’s growing downtown Broadway District.
Located at 340 N. Broadway, Suite No. 110, Co-owner Nicole Lindquist said Bona Fide’s sixth cold-pressed juice bar also features a new cafe-style food menu.
Appearing first in The Business News’s Nov. 17 Issue, Lindquist said the “front-of-house, customer-facing cafe” as well as their “expanded food menu” are new concepts for her and her fellow Co-owner Chris Strauss.
Offering options such as grain and poke bowls – complimented by an array of toppings sourced from local producers – Lindquist said customers can count on Bona Fide Juicery in downtown Green Bay for healthy meals.
“You can pop in for breakfast, you can pop in for lunch and there’s something for everybody,” she said. “We have lighter options for those who want that, and then we [will] have more hearty options people aren’t necessarily used to from our company.”
At Bona Fide’s grand opening earlier this month, Lindquist said community members and officials – including Green Bay Mayor Eric Genrich – came out to support Broadway’s newest business.
“The grand opening was better than we could have ever imagined,” she said. “The community really showed up for this opening, which was amazing.”
In addition, Lindquist said her new neighbors showed up to demonstrate support for Bona Fide’s sixth location.
“There were many other business owners who came to support because they’re happy that we joined them as a neighbor,” she said. “We all are going to work together going forward and support each other’s businesses.”
Lindquist said the cafe-concept was also a big hit among attendees.
“A lot of people sent us a message afterwards, saying everything was good, they loved it [and] they wanted us to bring it to other locations now,” she said. “Everything went out perfectly, because we had a soft opening the week prior, so our staff had a week to train.”
With a line out the door from open to close Jan. 9, Lindquist said she “never imagined” that massive of a turnout.
“Everything we did for the past few weeks, months and years leading up to this, it really, actually paid off,” she said.
Bona Fide’s front-of-house in downtown Green Bay, Lindquist said, was only phase one of her and Strauss’s renovation plans for the space.
“Our back of house – the additional 2,000 square feet we’re building onto the building – will be done in about six weeks,” she said. “They’re framing that up right now, and then we’ll be able to do all of our production at this space.”
However, in the meantime, Lindquist said she and Strauss are simply “happy to be” up-and-running in downtown Green Bay, and are looking forward to serving guests – both new and returning.
