OSHKOSH – The Generac Foundation has awarded a $9,400 grant to the EAA Aviation Foundation to expand youth STEM programming at the EAA Aviation Center.
Alyssa Clancy, EAA youth education center manager, said the funding will support new equipment and workspace upgrades, including robotics kits and aerodynamics testing tools, enhancing hands-on learning for more than 1,000 students served annually.
Clancy said the investment will increase program capacity, strengthen STEM education and inspire interest in aviation and engineering careers.
Community Programs Manager Kelly Skindzelewski said the team at Generac, which has a manufacturing plant located in Oshkosh, believes that education – especially hands-on STEM learning – is vital to building strong, resilient communities.
“We are proud to support the EAA’s efforts to inspire the next generation of innovators,” she said. “Helping young people develop skills in engineering, coding and critical thinking aligns with our desire to inspire future problem solvers and expand access to STEM learning for all.”
