GREEN BAY – Paper Transport officially made its move into the Broadway District in Downtown Green Bay with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Jan. 25.

Paper Transport had recently announced it obtained two new locations in the downtown area – the first being temporary in nature and housing about 50 employees within Base Companies at 340 N. Broadway.

The second location, which Paper Transport CEO Ben Schill said will be more of a permanent spot, is the Larson Canning Company building located at 540 N. Broadway – just north of the temporary site.

Schill said the Larson Canning building will be renovated over the course of 2023.

“We started in De Pere at the Mid Valley location in 2016,” he said. “I never would have guessed seven years ago we’d have to expand in such a short time – it’s a good problem to have. We will also continue to utilize the De Pere location as well.”

With several local dignitaries on hand, Green Bay Mayor Eric Genrich said it was a great day for the City of Green Bay.

“There’s a lot of chatter about office space, office work and what the future is going to look like,” he said. “It can be challenging if it’s an office space in the middle of nowhere, but the Rail Yard District is the exact opposite of that – this is a dynamic place to be.”
