Let’s Run Around Green Bay now open for family fun

ASHWAUBENON – Let’s Run Around Green Bay – a nearly 20,000-square-foot indoor facility owned by Beth and Mark Kinnunen – is now open at 2606 S. Oneida St., providing a new option for families looking to stay active during rainy, snowy or cold weather.

“After a long process, we are glad to finally be open and offer families a big indoor space to bring their kids,” Mark said. “We are open 12 hours a day [8 a.m. to 8 p.m.], 363 days per year.”

Mark said it took about a year for them to get funding for the project and another eight months to line up the facility.

“After that, it took about five months to build things out,” he said. “We had to take down almost 9,000 square feet of walls, demolish the flooring and reinstall everything you currently see. Once we started with demolition and installation, things went well – about as expected.”

The Business News first shared the Kinnunens’ journey to opening Let’s Around Run – which they said is the largest family-owned indoor playground in Wisconsin – in its May 5, 2025, edition.

“The space includes a custom playground, swings, giant building blocks, a track that goes around the play area, climbing mounds, a party room and a demo kitchen for family cooking classes [opening early next year],” Mark said.

The community response, Beth said, has exceeded their expectations, with nearly 200 birthday parties scheduled before Let’s Run Around Green Bay’s official opening late last month.

“It’s been absolutely insane here,” Beth laughed. “We’ve now booked more than 300 birthday parties and have been seeing hundreds of people come through the doors each day.”

In addition to the booked birthday parties, the couple said they already have hundreds of memberships.

And, in addition to playsets, Mark said Let’s Run Around Green Bay also houses The Kompound Café’s second location, expanding from its original Main Street location.

“That just happened a few months ago,” Mark said. “It was a tight timeline, but they were all in on having another location inside Let’s Run Around.”

Mark also highlighted the first aid area as an important feature of the facility.

“We’ve partnered with Green Bay ER & Hospital to bring a little extra peace of mind to parents while the kids play,” he said. “Right inside our playground, you’ll now find a first aid station, complete with a stocked first aid kit and a little bench to sit and take care of things if needed.”
