Oshkosh’s Tubbs receives Sustainability Champion award

GREEN BAY – Schneider National, Inc. won the Leading Shipper/Carrier category at the Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo Fleet Awards in Las Vegas.
President and Chief Administrative Officer Rob Reich said the company is 90% to its goal of reducing CO2 emissions by 7.5% per mile by 2025.
Reich said Schneider launched a fleet of 92 Freightliner eCascadia battery electric trucks in 2023 to help reduce emissions.
He said it’s an honor to be recognized by an organization with a similar objective, especially after a milestone year for Schneider’s advancement of clean transportation.
“Our initiatives focus on safe and sustainable solutions that make a positive global impact,” he said. “This leadership is important for our customers, like PepsiCo, who want to work with providers who share these values.”
As part of the award, Schneider and ACT honored PepsiCo for its collaboration with Schneider. In 2023, Schneider was the first third-party carrier to haul zero-emission shipments for PepsiCo globally using its eCascadia fleet – completing nearly 800 BEV loads for the company.
