APPLETON – ThedaCare recently celebrated a decade of patient care at the ThedaCare Regional Cancer Center, reflecting on its growth, technological advancements and commitment to the communities of northeast and central Wisconsin.
Since opening in 2016 on the Encircle Health Campus, Lydia Gonzales Ryan – vice president of ThedaCare Cancer Services-North Region – said the center has expanded access to cutting-edge treatments, clinical trials and specialized care through six Tumor Site-Specific Centers of Excellence, covering breast, head and neck, gastrointestinal, thoracic, hematologic and genitourinary cancers.
Gonzales Ryan said the center has also maintained key national accreditations, including CoC, NAPBC, APEx and QOPI certification.
“We have walked alongside thousands of patients and their families over the past decade, continuously improving care, research, and survivorship support,” she said.
Gonzales Ryan said innovations – such as CyberKnife radiotherapy, robotic-assisted surgery, BiTE therapy and advanced precision radiation – have made high-quality, localized cancer care accessible close to home.
