WISCONSIN – UW Health has entered into a multi-year agreement with the Green Bay Packers to serve as the team’s official health care partner.

The partnership, per the release, includes joint community initiatives, fan-focused events and a prominent presence at Lambeau Field – including permanent signage at the stadium’s north entry gate – to be unveiled in May – and logo patches on Packers practice jerseys.

UW Health CEO Alan Kaplan said the health organization shares the Packers’ commitment to community service.

“The Green Bay Packers are a remarkable organization,” he said. “They are one of the most successful sports teams in American history and are deeply dedicated to their millions of fans across Wisconsin and beyond. UW Health shares that strong commitment to be the best for our patients and the communities we serve.”

Kaplan said UW Health will also serve as the presenting sponsor of Packers Training Camp and Packers Family Night, while collaborating on initiatives such as Packers vs. Cancer – which promotes early detection, screenings and cancer research, including efforts at the UW Health | Carbone Cancer Center.

Packers President and CEO Ed Policy said the team is proud to partner with “an innovative health system like UW Health.”

“The Packers, much like UW Health, have a story that starts more than a century ago,” he said. “These two pillars of Wisconsin industry coming together to broaden the reach of health and wellness to football fans around the globe is a fitting partnership.”

Additional collaboration of the partnership, per the release, will include youth sports programming, hospital engagement, health and wellness initiatives and charitable giving to benefit the American Family Children’s Hospital.

“The Green Bay Packers are Wisconsin’s team,” Kaplan said. “As Wisconsin’s health system, we’re thrilled to work together to bring important messages and great events to support the health of the communities we serve.”
