MANITOWOC – Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry (WAF), an aluminum and copper-based alloy castings manufacturer, has acquired Anderson Global, an aluminum foundry tooling manufacturer based in Muskegon, Michigan.
WAF CEO Sachin Shivaram said the acquisition reflects WAF’s continued optimism for the aluminum foundry industry in North America and expands WAF’s capabilities in tooling, casting and machining across a variety of industrial sectors.
“This acquisition not only strengthens our internal capabilities but also ensures Anderson Global will continue to support foundries across North America as an independent and trusted partner,” he said. “We look forward to investing in the people, technology and equipment that will enable Anderson Global to thrive for decades to come.”
Per the announcement, Anderson Global was founded more than 40 years ago by Co-owners John and Betsy McIntyre and has more than 50 journeymen machinists who utilize advanced machining assets to produce complex and high-precision tooling.
“As we looked to the future of Anderson Global, it was important to us to find a partner that understands our industry and shares our values,” the McIntyres said. “Given our long-standing partnership with WAF, they were the natural choice. We are excited to see Anderson Global continue to grow and serve all of its customers with the added support and resources WAF brings.”
The McIntyres said Anderson Global will continue to operate as a standalone subsidiary within WAF’s portfolio.
Sachin said all 80 team members will continue their employment under WAF’s ownership.
“Our goal is to grow by continuing to deliver the highest quality tooling in the industry and by supporting the broader resurgence of American manufacturing,” he said.
