GREEN BAY – Aurora BayCare Medical Center has implemented a new linear accelerator.
Peter Heiberger, lead medical physicist-radiation oncology for Aurora’s North Region, said this makes the medical center the first site in Wisconsin and one of the first in the U.S. to implement this advanced imaging technology.
To better aid radiation therapy patients, Heiberger said the new technology provides some of the most advanced imaging on the market with the highest image quality for ideal dose delivery accuracy.
“We’re looking forward to opportunities in leveraging our cutting-edge technology for the absolute best patient care – not only in Green Bay or Wisconsin but nationally,” he said.
