FISH CREEK – In a matter of days, Co-owner/Founder Christiana Trapani said Luba Libations will mark its first anniversary with a Memorial Day weekend party at The Cherry Hut.

“May will be a year since we released the product, so we’re really excited to celebrate,” she said. “The Cherry Hut has been a really big partner for us – we do tastings there all the time in summer – so we’re really excited to be having a big party there.”

Featuring free samples and Luba swag, Trapani said “the entire community – near and far” – is invited to celebrate.

“Anyone who wants to celebrate with us – loves Luba, has tried Luba, has promoted Luba – whatever that may be, we just want to thank everyone for being part of our journey,” she said.

‘Everyone’s a friend’

Not only is Luba Libations celebrating its journey to where it is today, Trapani said it’s also growing.

In its Feb. 9, 2026 Issue, The Business News featured Luba Libations’ new distribution deal with Badger Liquor – a partnership Trapani said has been “incredible.”

“They’re a big part of our growth,” she said. “They really believe in our product, we love working with them and they’re crushing it.”

Trapani said Luba Libations is also celebrating finalized launch plans with Hy-Vee grocery stores.

“I think our biggest thing is just to keep getting into more locations,” she said. “Hy-Vee is such a great store…, [and] I feel like it’s going to be a really good fit.”

With lots of “big things on the horizon,” Trapani said it’s hard to believe Luba Libations has only been in production for one year.

“I know it sounds cliche, but it feels like yesterday since my husband and I were in our kitchen, making these drinks, coming up with recipes and then launching last year,” she said. “It’s just so surreal.”

At the time of her interview with The Business News, Trapani said Luba Libations was available in 130 locations, though the pre-canned, zero-proof mocktails were “slated to be in more than 350 locations” in the month of May.

“So, we’re growing really quickly,” she said.

With awareness starting to pick up, Trapani said Luba’s packaging has also undergone some recent changes to reflect its namesake.

“We’ll be rolling out a very slight update to our can, so now, actually, my grandma’s face is on it,” she said. “Then we actually updated some of the copy on the can to say, ‘Ready to sip or perfect to mix,’ because a lot of people were asking us, ‘Is it okay if we mix alcohol in here?’ And we thought that was so funny they were asking us.”

Regardless of how one drinks Luba, Trapani said the only thing that matters is that they enjoy it.

“Part of our brand, and people tell us, is that it feels like everyone’s a friend, and we want to keep it that way,” she said.
