FOX VALLEY – The Women’s Fund for the Fox Valley Region has awarded more than $72,000 in grants to support local nonprofit programs focused on improving the health, safety and economic security of women and girls.

According to Julie Keller – executive director of the Women’s Fund for the Fox Valley Region – the funding will support a range of initiatives addressing systemic challenges and expanding access to resources designed to help women and girls thrive.

“We are thrilled to invest over $72,000 back into our community this year,” she said. “These grants represent more than just financial support – they are an investment in the future of the Fox Valley by ensuring women and girls have the resources, safety and opportunities they deserve.”

Keller said grant recipients include CAP Services’ Guaranteed Income Project; Casa Hispana’s parent peer support program for Latinas; COTS’ homelessness recovery program; First 5 Fox Valley’s parent leadership initiative; HeadsUp Fox Cities’ program for young women aging out of foster care; and several others supporting housing stability, mentorship, advocacy and family services.

Other funded efforts, she said, include programs focused on Hmong girls’ leadership development, single-parent support, child care advocacy and community-based mentorship initiatives.

Keller said the investments are intended to strengthen long-term community outcomes by addressing barriers to stability and opportunity for women and girls across the region.
