NORTHEAST WISCONSIN – A handful of area nonprofits are receiving grants totaling $210,000 from the Marilynn W. Taylor/Wohlt Cheese Fund.
Grants presented include:
Weyauwega Library – $100,000 spread out over three years ($50,000 in 2023 and $25,000 in 2024 and 2025) for a new addition.Mosquito Hill – $50,000 over two years to support its capital campaign to replace its indoor educational displays.The New London Community Fund – challenge grant of $40,000 to inspire community members to contribute to the New London Community Fund over the next two years.The Fremont Historic Society – $20,000 to help renovate the Fremont Area Historical Museum, as well as update technology and catch up on delayed maintenance projects.
The Marilynn W. Taylor/Wohlt Cheese Fund – is the second-largest certified community foundation in Wisconsin was founded in 1986 – a permanent endowment fund that provides support in the New London and Fremont area in addition to the scholarship support provided for students to attend Lawrence University.
