Flourish Spa celebrates its grand opening in Appleton

APPLETON – Flourish Spa is officially open at 1024 S. Olde Oneida St. in Appleton.

The day spa – which celebrated its grand opening earlier this month – offers a variety of massage, skin care and waxing services, offering patrons an opportunity to focus on self-care.

“Flourish is not merely a destination – it’s an invitation to linger, unwind and revitalize,” Owner Kenzie Munroe said. “It is down-to-earth luxury, designed to be a warm and restorative space where you can relax in comfort.”

Munroe also owns sister property Inspire Spa in downtown Appleton.

When opportunity knocks
After being approached by the building’s former owner about purchasing the space, Munroe said the idea of Flourish quickly transformed from a dream into reality.

“The plan has always been to expand into a true day spa,” she said. “It felt like a nudge to start actively moving toward that goal.”

Munroe said she considered relocating Inspire Spa, however, since her team and guests enjoyed the downtown atmosphere, it inspired her to open a second location – and Flourish Spa was born.

Flourish is located in the former Sunflower Spa building.

“I was truly in the right place at the right time, and it all fell into place after that,” she said. “With everything being set up and ready to go in the new space, the decision to open something new was an exciting and easy decision.”

‘A fitting name’
Flourish, Munroe said, is a fitting name for the spa.

“I wanted the name to tie into Inspire’s and for it to have great manifesting energy,” she said. “Flourish is defined as ‘to grow or develop in a healthy or vigorous way, especially as a result of a particularly favorable environment,’ – the name feels very aligned.”

Flourish’s decor focuses on nature-centric hues and boasts a wall of products – bath soaks and crystal mood candles to other boutique-style treasures.

The main lobby branches off into individual treatment areas and a private steam shower room.

Offerings
Flourish, Munroe said, offers a variety of massage options, including Swedish, signature scalp treatment, reiki, deep tissue, hot stone, prenatal, reflexology and couples.

The day spa also has experienced on-site estheticians offering waxing services, including a Brow Bar.

Some of Flourish’s service enhancements include an intuitive intention setting, aromatherapy, hot towels, full body dry brushing, moisturizing foot masque, thermal or cryotherapy gel and CBD massage oil.

“With Flourish, we hope our guests will learn to choose themselves and to know how innately worthy they are of feeling great in and about their bodies,” Munroe said. “We truly want to see people flourish.”

Munroe said the entire team is committed to offering exceptional service, which is what makes Flourish Spa unique.

“I am incredibly proud of the culture we’ve created,” she said. “I’m excited about how it has been growing with our team at Flourish – it’s really beautiful.”

Munroe said the spa proudly uses 100% whole plant and organic products for skin care services, contouring body wraps and dermaplaning.

Big plans for the future
Though the doors at Flourish only recently opened, Munroe said she already has plans in the works to enhance the spa even further.

“Set to launch next month is an advanced, infrared sauna designed to provide a plethora of health benefits,” she said. “Looking even further ahead, a traditional Finnish sauna is slated for a 2024 release, along with a salt cave and other premium amenities that will redefine what you expect from a day spa.”

More details on these new products and services, Munroe said, will be released soon.

Munroe said she aspires to see Flourish become the premier day spa of the Fox Cities.

“We know people who are well cared for, care for others,” she said. “We are here to shift the self-care paradigm from ‘when I have the time’ to ‘my health and well-being comes first.'”
