SHEBOYGAN – More than 650 Sheboygan middle school students from Horace Mann, Farnsworth, Urban, Etude and Warriner middle schools recently attended Google’s “Online Safety Roadshow” to learn how to be smart about the content they share online.
During the 45-minute program, students learned important skills, including how to create a safe and memorable password, avoid talking to strangers and prioritizing well-being.
“We are proud to partner with Google to bring this critical online safety opportunity to our Sheboygan area middle school students,” Nic Collins, principal of Horace Mann Middle School, said. “As students depart for summer vacation, it’s important we equip them with the knowledge to stay safe online as they navigate the ever-changing world of internet access.”
The event was part of Google’s initiative to create safe experiences for children across its platforms with strong parental protections and dedicated features that help young people and their parents navigate their time online.
