DOOR COUNTY – Registration has opened for Lawrence University’s annual series of weeklong seminars at Björklunden, its Door County retreat located just south of Baileys Harbor.

The university hosts more than 35 seminars from mid-June through late October at Björklunden, with another half-dozen available online.

Thomas McKenzie, director of Björklunden, said the seminars – fondly referred to as “vacations with a purpose” – range from explorations of history and world politics to literature and the arts.

“These offerings reflect a broad breadth of learning opportunities that invite you to immerse yourself in fascinating topics and enriching experiences,” he said. “Each course will generate rich conversation and surface new insights among friends old and new. Join us along beautiful Lake Michigan for a season of discovery.”

McKenzie said seminars generally begin Sunday evening and end Friday afternoon, with participants lodging and dining at Björklunden during their stay.

A full lineup of seminars and registration information can be found at lawrence.edu.
