GREEN BAY — The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay (UWGB) has named its newest on-campus residence hall — Cort Condon Hall, honoring Gerald C. “Cort” Condon, Jr., chairman of the board of University Village Housing, Inc. (UVHI).

UVHI is a private, nonprofit group that was formed for the development of affordable student housing at UWGB and partners with the university in the management of most residence halls.

Following years of growth in enrollment and academic and extra-curricular offerings, this latest campus expansion is UWGB’s first new residence hall in more than 12 years.

The new hall — which is slated to open fall 2024 — will house 200 students and is specially designed for second-year students.
It will offer both two- and four-person shared-bedroom apartments with an array of shared collaboration and recreation spaces.
Upon completion, it will become the largest residence hall on campus.

Cort Condon Hall is the latest investment in UWGB’s on-campus housing.

The new residence hall will offer students the opportunity to live in housing with the newest technology, furnishings and sustainable facility upgrades.

A celebratory ribbon-cutting ceremony, including tours of the new residence hall, is planned for fall 2024.
